"The Old Guitarist" by Pablo Picasso was created during his blue period, in which he used mostly blue as his color and mood for the pieces. The people of today, when they think of Picasso think of abstract women or very sharp, angular lines with wild colors. While this piece is very clear and smooth with a lot of direct emotion.
